Published in 1912 from the book Kensington Rhymes by Compton MACKENZIE.
Sir Compton Mackenzie is perhaps best known for writing the book & the film Whisky Galore (1947)
He published almost 100 books and this charming poem appeared in a book of children’s rhymes written by him and illustrated by J. R. Monsell.
