These are photos that have no actual story connected to them, other than the fact that they were published in a newspaper to either break-up text or fill empty space.
This photo was published in America by The Christian Science Monitor.
It is often assumed that the Second World War stopped play for London’s screevers/pavement artists, but as this photo shows, it just isn’t true; of all the ‘street-arts’ screevers where going strong throughout the war years & beyond….I’ll be blogging more about this in the future.
